Rick Tolar, born in the late 1950s, has lived and worked most of his life in Texas.
Laser Engineer by trade, floral enthusiast by heart, Rick has always shown a deep
interest in colors and light. Picking up his first camera at age seven and starting a
photographic company with a school friend at sixteen ensured that Rick would never be
very far from a camera. Although he never saw photography as a sole occupation, he
experimented with many professional aspects of it. Through the years, Rick has worked
with other photographers and artists whom have helped him train his “eye” for potential
unique colorful images. Flowers offer, in a most wonderful way, that uniqueness.
“Nature has supplied us with a floral palette of millions of colors and we just need
to capture them and make them timeless.” Capturing them, in all of their glory,
is exactly what Rick Tolar is dedicated in doing for the years ahead.
